More With Less

February 2019

In this project, we had to design and create a plinth that will be used to exhibit our ReHab ReUse projects individually in June 2019. Our concept for the project was More with Less, deriving from Buckminster Fullers' theory of Ephermeralization, which implies that more can be possible using less components, with the help from modern technology.

Throughout the project I referred back to this concept, questioning if the materials and methods I was using were in line with the theory of More with Less and whether or not I could limit the amount of components used, however the concept did not just relate to the amount of components I used, but also made me think how I could spend less time and less money on something, and still include the module with a strong plinth that can hold upwards of 100kg, that is dynamic looking and displays my model well.
